We plugged the ViDock 2 into a 2 year old US$700.00 laptop with a discrete video card. The Benchmark above shows the ViDock 2 improved the 3D performance by over 400%. When connected to one of today’s mainstream laptops you can achieve benchmarks over 8000 Marks!
These results were obtained using real world settings, such as 1280 x 1024 resolution, aliasing turned on and ATI quality features set to default. The two crops to the left show how this performance translates into higher image quality, which equates to a more enjoyable game experience.
Upgradability
Video cards usually move into the next generation about every year. Anyone can upgrade the video card in their ViDock 2 to the newest video card available in less than 5 minutes! Just open the ViDock 2 by turning the thumb screws, unplug your old card and plug in your new card, then close it and tighten the thumb screws.
